Christmas Cheer at Pino Cafe

The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.

December has arrived in Korea, and with that comes the frigid winter temperatures. It seems like we went from the mild temperatures of fall directly into a freezing cold winter, but this time of year I don’t mind. Ask me again at the end of January though.

This morning we set out to find a little Christmas cheer, and we found just that at two cafes nearby in Cheonan. Located right next to each other, Siyudang and Pino Cafe have gone all out to create a magical winter wonderland, perfect for those holiday photos.

We started out at Siyudang, which offers an assortment of brunch options, as well as scrumptious donuts and coffee. We spent quite a bit of time upstairs on the roof with our kids enjoying the holiday set up as we had the place to ourselves. After a while we had to bribe our toddler to go back inside when the snot was starting to freeze under his nose from the frosty wind.

After we finished at Siyudang, we went next door to Pino Cafe to check out their holiday decor. Their set is located on the back porch area (to the right side of the cafe) and also very much toddler approved. Both of these locations would be even more enchanting in the evening when it’s dark, but unfortunately our kids hit their bewitching hour around then so will spare the public from that spectacle.

Pino Cafe

The info you came here for! Both cafes are located near hiking trails in Cheonan so if you are up for braving the temps before, hit the trails nearby!

There is plenty of parking on site for both cafes. We put the address from Pino Cafe in Naver directly from their Instagram. To get to their parking lot you have to drive behind Siyudang, or just park in the lot for Siyudang and walk behind the building to get to Pino Cafe (there is a fence between the two so you have to walk around). We went on a Saturday, arriving by 10:45 AM and both places were fairly empty which we enjoyed. As we were leaving around noon more cars started to arrive, so my typical advice for going anywhere in Korea, get there when they open to avoid the rush of people.
