Best Camp Humphreys Restaurants

Welcome to Korea, or more specifically, Camp Humphreys. As we our coming down to our last six months here, I thought I would share some of our favorite restaurants, cafes and things to do over the next few posts.

Kicking things off with some of our favorite local restaurants! We typically eat out twice a week, and these places have become our go to’s, not to say we don’t try others, but these are in a pretty regular rotation in our household. Of note, we are spice weenies, so when it comes to dining on anything spicy, we are not the experts.

Snow Pea Sushi

We tried a few other sushi places locally, but nothing has compared to Snow Pea. Jin and Jay are wonderfully welcoming, always greeting us with a smile on their face and lollipops for our babies. Whether we dine in or order take out, the food is always fresh and delicious.

Little Greece

Little Greece relocated from Cheonan in July 2023 and has been a great addition to our restaurant rotation. Earlier this year I had a chance to interview owner Chef George for local publication, United on the RoK, and continue to be a big fan of his Greek cuisine.

Address: Gyeonggi-do, Pyeongtaek-si, Paengseong-eup, Anjeongshopping-ro, 91 리틀그리스 1층

Hours: Open Wednesday-Sunday 11:30-21:00 (break time each day, follow their Instagram for updated hours each week).

Aori Ramen

Aori is part of a ramen chain, mainly throughout Korea, but is my go to when I have a craving for ramen. With their customizable bowls and meal sets, Aori is the perfect lunch spot for noodles in Pyeongtaek.

Address: Pyeongtaek 2-ro, Pyeongtaek-si, Gyeonggi-do

Hours: Open 6 a days a week, Tuesday-Sunday 11:30-15:00, then 16:30-20:30.

Since this is located downtown near AK Plaza, sometimes parking can be hard to come by. I recommend this place as a lunch spot over dinner.

Smoke Town

If you plan on dining in, prepare to have your drinks delivered in a unique way! We usually order a two meat platter with extra pulled pork. I am not sure what they use to marinate their pork with, but there is a hint of pineapple in it and I love it.

Two meat platter with pulled pork and sausage. Comes with two side options.

Address: 68-6 Anjeong-ri, Paengseong-eup, Pyeongtaek-si, Gyeonggi-do

Hours: Open 7 days a week 11:30-21:00.

Arati Indian Restaurant

The cheesiest of cheese naan, say less! My go to order is the butter chicken and a mango lassi, delicious.

Address: 56, ANJEONGSUNHWAN-RO, 138 BEON-GIL, Paengseong-eup, Pyeongtaek-si, Gyeonggi-do

Hours: Open 7 days a week 11AM-21:40.

We do try new places and mix it up, but these restaurants near Camp Humphreys have been our tried and true places that we enjoy. Bonus, they are all are family friendly with high chairs. Have somewhere you think I should check out? Email erin@erinhendersonmedia.com!
